Identify the website and the recipient
A comparison or referral website may be separate from the insurance business that contacts you. Look for the operator’s identity and the names of the businesses receiving your details. Read the information-sharing notice before submitting.
Review contact permissions
Check whether you are requesting email, an agent call, text messages, or automated marketing. These are different choices. Check which channels the permission actually covers before selecting it.
Keep a copy of your request
Save the recipient name and the wording shown when you submit. If an unexpected caller contacts you, verify their identity through an independently checked channel before sharing additional information. Request removal from further contact if you no longer want to hear from them.
